WESTMINSTER, Vt. — During the early evening hours of July 29, Vermont State Police troopers from the Westminster Barracks conducted a saturation patrol in Windham and Windsor counties, concentrating their efforts on vehicles being operated on Interstate 91. The focus of the patrol was to identify and deter aggressing driving and impaired operation while enforcing motor vehicle laws, while promoting safe driving on Vermont roadways.
During the patrol, troopers initiated 47 traffic stops, while issuing 29 VCVCs (traffic tickets) and 20 written warnings for various motor vehicle violations.
The State Police would like to remind all motorists to consider utilizing a designated driver or seek alternative transportation when planning to consume alcohol.
