Two from Andover suspected in connection with assault, perjury

ANDOVER, Vt. — Police have charged two Andover residents in connection with an alleged assault.

The Vermont State Police – Westminster barracks were notified at approximately 6:53 p.m. Sunday, July 29, of an assault that had allegedly occurred at 48 Lee Way, in Andover, Vermont.

After an investigation, VSP troopers conducted a search warrant on the residence of Harvey

Parker, 43, of Andover, and “arrested him without incident” on charges of alleged aggravated assault, criminal threatening and perjury, according to police.

Tammy Riley, 44, of Andover was also arrested for perjury due to sworn statements she provided during the investigation, all according to police.

Both were arrested and transported to the Winhall Police Department for fingerprints and photographs. Parker was released on a citation to appear at 8 a.m. Sept. 25 in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, after being issued conditions of release. Riley was also released on a citation at appear at the same time and place for the charge of perjury.
