Granite United Way of Caring seeks nonprofit projects

SULLIVAN COUNTY – Granite United Way will host its annual Day of Caring events this September, and is currently seeking projects from local nonprofits in each of its regions. This year marks the 26th year of Day of Caring events.

Nonprofits can participate by submitting a project for the more than 2,000 volunteers that take part in Day of Caring, Granite United Way’s signature volunteer movement.

Projects can include painting, clean-up, landscaping, and office assistance, just to name a few.

“Our Day of Caring events are a great example of the community coming together to help local nonprofits,” said Patrick Tufts, president and CEO of Granite United Way. “Over the years we’ve had an incredible turnout from volunteers across all of our regions, and this year we are anticipating an even larger turnout!”

Agencies must be a 501(c)(3) to participate. Those interested should contact Granite United Way at [email protected].

Day of Caring events will be held in the following regions on the following days: Wednesday, Sept. 5 in Merrimack County & Southern Regions; Thursday, Sept. 6 in Northern New Hampshire; Friday, Sept. 7 in the Upper Valley Region; Tuesday, Sept. 11 in the North Country Region; and Wednesday, Sept. 12 in the Central Region.
