GRAFTON, Vt. — The Grafton Cornet Band invites everyone to its free summer concert, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 on the Library Lawn in Grafton, Vermont. This will be a traditional community band concert with familiar and upbeat music for the whole family in beautiful surroundings.
Bring chairs or a blanket for comfort and maybe a picnic. In case of rain, the band will play in the historic Grafton Community Church.
The band keeps its original 1867 name even though all wind instruments are now included. Any band player is welcome to play along with the band — just wear a white shirt and come to the rehearsal an hour before the concert (4:30 p.m.).
Hiking, shopping, galleries, museums, and good eating are also available on Sunday in Grafton. For more information, visit GraftonBand.org.
