SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — The Springfield Farmers Market will be holding an extended Family Day Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. The market is planning to have pony rides, a solar bubble machine, bubble blowing, face and rock painting, a Puppy Kissing Booth, and some vendors will have crafts and other activities for kids and families.
The market vendors will have plenty of everyone’s favorite produce, baked goods, pickles and preserves, meats, honey, maple syrup and a variety of handcrafts and a photographer of wildlife.
An author of juvenile and adult Christian fiction books will also plan a visit to the market.
Nonprofit groups will be at the market that day to inform and educate the community about their organizations.
Come to try some of the activities and have lunch and relax for awhile and listen to the Market Music. The Springfield Farmers’ Market is also accepting Farm to Family coupons for fresh produce; look for the yellow and blue signs.
Nonprofits and vendor inquiries are welcome. Applications and rules can be found on the market website, springfieldvtfarmersmarket.com.
The Springfield Farmers Market is located at 280 Clinton St. on the grassy area next to Nortrax Equipment Co. For more information call (802) 885-4096 or email [email protected]. This is a nonprofit, vendor-run market.
