NEWPORT — Fonda Jo Lescord, 59, passed away on Aug. 16, 2018. She was born on Jan. 21, 1959 in Goffstown, New Hampshire, the daughter of Winfred and Thelma (Fletcher) Hodgdon.
She worked as a bus driver transporting handicapped children for many years. She loved to fish, ride back roads looking for wildlife, and enjoyed sitting at the kitchen window watching the birds, squirrels, and deer. She loved spending time with her family and her nieces and nephews were some of the most important people in her life.
She was a member of the ladies auxiliary at the Claremont American Legion and the Foresters club in Newport.
Her family includes her husband, Allan Lescord; five brothers, Michael Hodgdon and his wife Lynn of Huntersville, North Carolina, John Hodgdon of Manchester, Kelly Hodgdon and his wife Rose of Bedford, Patrick Hodgdon of Bedford, and Daniel Hodgdon of Laconia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St. in Claremont. A reception will follow at the Claremont American Legion, 119 Broad St. Claremont, NH.
