Ledyard National Bank welcomes Susan Fernald as senior VP

HANOVER — Ledyard National Bank has announced that Susan Fernald has joined Ledyard’s senior management team as senior vice president, banking operations officer. 

Fernald began her banking career as a teller in Massachusetts, moving to New Hampshire in 1981 as a teller at First Citizens Bank in Newport. In 1984, she moved to Lake Sunapee Bank holding numerous positions in her 31 years from personal banker, branch manager, IRA/CD manager, Staff Development and VP Deposit Operations manager. In 2016 during Bar Harbor’s acquisition of Lake Sunapee Bank, she was tasked with leading both the Retail Branch Operations and the Cash Management manager positions. During her career in financial services, Fernald has been successfully involved in three core conversions and seven mergers. 

Fernald has served on the board and taught classes for the Center for Financial Training, and is currently the president of the board for Cinnamon Street Daycare.
