VTrans solicits applications for transportation alternatives projects

MONTPELIER, Vt. – The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) has issued a grant solicitation for municipalities to apply for environmental mitigation projects related to stormwater and highways, including eligible salt and sand sheds, through the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP).

This year, the program will have roughly $2.2 million available to award. Applications are due in hand or by email by Oct. 17.

It is strongly recommended that an official representative of the applicant attend a webinar workshop to fully understand the requirements associated with federal aid projects. Two sessions will be offered via a live webinar format through Skype for Business.

Session 1: Sept. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Session 2: Sept. 6, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Directions to join the webinar and additional program information are available on the program website at vtrans.vermont.gov/highway/local-projects/transport-alt. For more information contact Scott Robertson with the VTrans Municipal Assistance Bureau at (802) 793-2395 or [email protected].
