CHARLESTOWN — Charlestown police released the police log from August 19 through August 25. Among the reports, Raymond Thibeault, 35, of Swanzey was charged with DUI and violation of the Open Container law on Aug. 19. Thibeault was bailed and released with a summons to appear in court.
On Aug. 20, Charlestown police were called to assist the Claremont Police Department with squatters at a vacant house. One subject was transported to the House of Corrections.
Charlestown police charged Justin Wallace, 30, of Springfield Vt. with driving after having his license suspended at 1:26 a.m. Aug. 21. Wallace was bailed, issued a summons to appear in court and released.
Several thefts from vehicles in the early hours of the morning were reported on Aug. 23: thefts from two vehicles from a West Street Ext. residence, one at a River Street residence, tools were stolen from a truck at a River Street residence, theft from three vehicles parked at a Dell Street residence, and at 9:06 a.m. an officer responded to a report of an entry into a pool house, garage and vehicles on Dell Street. Later the same day, a purse was reported stolen from a vehicle on West Street, and at 8:44 p.m. a caller reported a theft from a vehicle on Huntley Ave.
Also on Aug. 23, around 2:50 p.m. Frank Heynig, 27, of Claremont was arrested for Conduct after an accident, Driving after suspension and Reckless Operation. Heynig was bailed, issued a summons to court and released.
