History buffs, volunteers welcome to Historical Society meetings

UNITY — The Unity Historical Society meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, April through October. The next meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11.

UHS is currently working on a couple of different projects, one being a memorial for the veterans of Unity and the wars they fought in. The group is planning to have it located in the town square.

The other project is a cupola with an eagle weathervane to set atop the gazebo in the town square.

UHS would like to invite anyone interested in the history of Unity, or helping with either of the projects that the historical society is working on, to come to the meeting or talk to any of the UHS members. Anyone interested in participating may also call Judi Tatem at (603) 543-0955 or Bruce Kozlick at (603) 863-2395 or email Sandy Bigg at [email protected].
