NORTH WALPOLE — Shirley Mae (Monette) Plummer, 79, of 13 Vine St. died Sept. 1, 2018 at Jack Byrne Center for Palliative Care in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Mrs. Plummer was born on Aug. 17, 1939, the daughter of Maurice and Marie (Golden) Monette. She attended schools in Vermont and Connecticut. On May 20, 1961, she married Ronald Plummer Sr. at St. Charles Church in Bellows Falls, Vermont.
Mrs. Plummer worked as a manager for Petco Oil in Bellows Falls for many years, also at Milt’s Corner Market in North Walpole and at Drewsville General Store and Post Office in Drewsville, New Hampshire.
She enjoyed crocheting, computer games, coffee klatch with her sisters, and dining out with family and friends at “Ocean Harvest.” Shirley had a love of cats, her own and many strays over the years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and in the past loved camping.
Mrs. Plummer is survived by two sons, Ronald Plummer Jr. of Drewsville and Glenn Plummer of North Walpole; her daughter Tracey Plummer of North Walpole; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; four sisters, Verda Raymond, Theresa Naucedar, and Edith Weidler all of Bellows Falls, and Dorothy Boudrieau of Charlestown, New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Plummer was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ronald Plummer on Sept. 23, 2008, and a son, Lynn Maurice Monette on Nov. 18, 2010.
Shirley was well loved and touched many lives. Her heart and home were always open to everyone.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Kingsbury Unit Cancer Center at Cheshire Medical of Keene, New Hampshire.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls. There will be a celebration of life at her home, 13 Vine St., North Walpole, NH on Saturday, Sept. 8 at noon. Please feel free to bring a dish.
