GRANTHAM —Once again, members of the Grantham community and beyond have won the gold medal for their support of New Hampshire Special Olympics.
The Cop on Top fundraiser held on Aug. 16th raised a total of $4,281 among the five towns that participated. The Grantham Dunkin Donuts location gathered $1,450, which amounts to one-third of the total monies raised.
This surpassed the amount raised last year of $1,087, and again led to Grantham outpacing the other four New Hampshire locations, in terms of funds raised.
“I offer my most sincere thank you to everyone who came out and supported such a worthy cause. You all did a phenomenal job in demonstrating what community spirit is all about,” said Grantham Police Chief John Parsons.
“Additionally, I would like to thank the outstanding crew at the Grantham Dunkin Donuts, the folks from KIXX radio, Keith Hansen and WNTK, the Grantham Fire Department, and the New Hampshire Special Olympics athletes,” Parsons added.
