Preschool Bus 77 was carrying one preschool student at 8:20 a.m. when the bus was struck on the passenger door side by a passenger car that was turning right as the car exited a parking area on Main Street in New London.
The driver remained at the scene, and police and fire officials responded promptly, all according to the press release.
No one was injured. The student was evaluated by emergency medical technicians and was able to return on their way to school, Feneberg said. The student’s family was notified, and the family was in contact with the EMTs who treated the student. The student was further evaluated by the school nurse and was allowed to join their classmates.
