CLAREMONT — John Leonard (Murphy) Borgstrom died peacefully on Sept. 4, 2018 with his wife of 52 years, Judy, by his side.
John was born in Boston, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was an employee of Verizon for 40 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and his master’s degree in computer science.
Raising his family in Plymouth, Massachusetts, he was very active in the community. He served as president of Little League baseball for over a decade, taught religious education, officiated youth sports and coached local youth sports teams.
He is survived by his wife, Judith, his two children, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind four sisters, two brothers and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 10 at Saint Peter’s Church in Plymouth, Massachusetts, followed by burial at Plymouth County Memorial Park.
