Kids Free Fun Runs and Mountain Bike Rides

WINDSOR, Vt. — The Vermont 50 Mountain Bike or Ultra-Run is hosting their 11th Annual FREE Kids runs or Mountain Bike Rides on Saturday, September 29 at Ascutney Trails on Ascutney Mountain, Ski Tow RD, West Windsor, Vt..

The races are open to children 14 years old and younger. There is no charge to participate but donations to Vermont Adaptive are appreciated. Online registration is open but walk registration is available Sept. 29 from noon-1 p.m..

The one- or two-mile mountain bike rides start at 2 p.m. and are limited to 25 children each. All mountain bike riders must wear a helmet. The half-, one- or three-mile runs start at 3:30 p.m. Race bib pick-up is from noon until 1 p.m. on Sept. 29. The races finish at the Vermont 50 finish line with Strafford Organic Creamery chocolate milk and Riverview Farm apples and apple cider waiting for the children.

There is also the 6th Annual Hay Bale Treasure Hunt for toddlers to 10 year olds and FREE face painting and balloon creations by Cheryl the Clown.
