SOUTH WOODSTOCK, Vt. — The 9th Annual Komen Vermont Ride for the Cure®, to be held on Monday, Oct. 8, is fast approaching. But don’t worry, there’s still time to register online, now through Oct. 6 for the 6- or 9- mile pleasure trail ride at Green Mountain Horse Association in South Woodstock, Vermont.
And, if you should miss the online registration window, you and your horse can register in-person on Monday, Oct. 8 beginning at 7:30 a.m.
All riders must have helmets, proof of negative Coggins test, and valid rabies certificate (within 12 months). Youth riders, ages 12-17 years, must be accompanied by a registered adult rider.
Remember, while your registration fee gets you to the trail, it also gets your required minimum fundraising started (adults $150 and youth $75), and in turn helps Susan G. Komen New England get all of us to the finish line — putting an end to breast cancer!
Our mission is: “Save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.” All proceeds from the Vermont Ride support Susan G. Komen New England and the local fight against breast cancer through community grants and research. Fundraising saves lives and helps make progress in the mission to end breast cancer forever. To register for, and/or donate to, the 9th Annual Komen Vermont Ride, please visit komennewengland.org and select the Events tab to find the Ride for the Cure.
