Stevens exceeds goal for Touchdowns Against Cancer

After raising $234 last year for Touchdowns Against Cancer, Stevens football set a goal to raise $500 this year. They raised that and then some, finishing 45th in the country with $581 raised for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in their fight against childhood cancer. They raised the most money for the cause in New Hampshire.

Stevens football head coach Paul Silva: “I am pretty pleased that we were not only able to reach our goal but exceed it. To me it is such a great cause and many of us have been affected directly by this disease. The players and team were saddened to lose Eli Smith to cancer this year at such a young age. This is our second year participating and we want to continue to raise money to help end childhood cancer. No family should have to struggle with, and no child should have to die from cancer. I want to thank everyone who contributed, or spread the word, to help reach our goal.”
