Sept. 23
8:14 a.m. – Officer responded to a report of smoke possibly from a camp fire on James Street. The Officer spoke with the homeowner who was camping out with his children. The fire was put out by the homeowner.
2:23 p.m. — Officer responded to a report of possible gun shots fired coming from the area of Whelen. The Officer found there was a car show at Whelen and believes it was back firing from a vehicle.
Sept. 24
6:23 a.m. — Officer responded to assist with a civil standby while a subject dropped off his children to their mother as there had been a previous incident.
10:03 a.m. — Officer responded to a report of a shoplifter that had just left a Main Street store. The officer located the vehicle. The subject was arrested and released with a summons to appear in court for willful concealment.
1:50 p.m. — Officer responded to a report of a bag of hypodermic needles and pipes in the break down lane of Claremont Road. The Officer located the items and destroyed them.
11:17 p.m. — Officer checked on a subject walking on Claremont Road. The subject was playing Pokemon Go.
Sept. 25
12:40 p.m. — Police, fire and ambulance responded to a one vehicle accident, car over the guardrail just north of Whelen Engineering on Claremont Road. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
8:47 p.m. — Officers responded to check the welfare of a juvenile in reference to a possible domestic situation that had happened in the home. Danielle Green, 36 of Charlestown was arrested for domestic violence. Green was bailed and released with a summons to appear in court. The juvenile was fine.
Sept. 26
8:33 a.m. — Report taken of a juvenile at the bus stop at the top of Hidden Valley Road is being aggressive towards the other children there. One parent had already tried speaking with the juvenile but the behavior had not changed.
1:04 p.m. — Officer responded to a report of a truck going into a corn field and doing damage on Unity Stage Road. The Officer located the suspected truck and spoke with the owner. The case was turned over to Fish and Game.
Sept. 27
2:09 a.m. — Officer responded to a report of two suspicious people coming to a residence to supposedly borrow a gas can. The officer located the subjects and the vehicle was seized. The vehicle was reported stolen approximately two hours later that morning out of Vermont.
7:51 a.m. — Officer responded to the Hidden Valley bus stop for a report of an overly aggressive juvenile. The officer spoke with the original caller from the day before and also another parent at the bus stop.
8:10 p.m. — Motor vehicle stop on Main Street. The driver, James Trowbridge E. II, 37, of Lebanon, was arrested for drugs prohibited and breach of bail. Trowbridge was transported to the house of corrections.
Sept. 28
10:51a.m. — Officer responded to the middle school in reference a juvenile issue.
Sept. 29
1:28 a.m. — Officer responded to a report of a moose in the road on Claremont Road just north of the Police Department. The moose was gone upon the officers arrival.
8:46 a.m. — Officer responded to a report of a bear on Lower Lovers Lane Road. The bear was gone upon the officer’s arrival.
5:47 p.m. — Officers responded to a report of an open 911 call with negative contact with the caller. Officers spoke with the two residents who were highly intoxicated and found a verbal domestic had taken place. The fire department responded to put out a small camp fire. The two subjects were transported to the house of corrections for protective custody due to being unable to find someone to stay with one of them.
