BELMONT, Vt. — On October 14 at 2 p.m., troopers from the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks were dispatched to a reported burglary at the Mount Holly, Vermont home of Patrick Brown, 38, of Holly Springs, North Carolina. Investigation revealed the Browns’ garage and residence had been entered. Several items were taken from the garage, including a power saw, drills, and other tools missing from the garage. The Browns’ residence had been entered and a quantity of copper pipe had been removed as well.
The Browns’ trail camera recorded photos of a vehicle at the residence on Sept. 6 and 16. Brown does not recognize the vehicle and does not know why it was at the residence. The vehicle appears to be an older model Subaru Forester. The vehicle is green and grey in color, displaying a Vermont registration. The vehicle is equipped with a roof carrier and the rear bumper has a sticker affixed on the driver side.
This case is currently under investigation.
