ROCKINGHAM, Vt. — On Oct. 16 at 5 p.m., Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle at Mile 39 on I-91 in Rockingham, Vermont for multiple violations. During the stop the unlicensed operator, Brittany Busby, 27, of Montpelier was as found to be in violation of probation. Her passenger, Lindsay L. Pyro, 40, of Barre, Vermont. was found to be in violation of her Vermont court conditions of release. A third passenger, Anthony S. Tomasuolo, 31, of Springfield, Massachusetts was found to be in possession of heroin, crack cocaine and to have transported heroin into the state. All were transported to the Vermont State Police barracks in Westminster and fingerprinted and photographed for the offenses. Busby was taken into custody by Vermont probation and parole. Piro will answer to her charge in Windham County on Nov. 20 and Tomasuolo was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail. Tomasuolo will answer to the charges on Oct. 17 in Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division.
UPDATED NEWS RELEASE:
On Oct. 22 at 9:05 p.m., Vermont State Police in Westminster executed a search warrant on a hand bag owned by Lindsay Piro, 40, of Barre, Vermont. This bag was seized during a traffic stop on Oct. 16. After the search, an additional charge of possession of heroin will be brought on Piro. She will answer to the charges of possession of heroin and violation of conditions of release, in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division on Nov. 20.
