NEWPORT — The Area Choir will celebrate its 65th season this year.
Concerts will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, and 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2 in the Newport Opera House.
Dr. Donald Cox will be the Director of Music again this year. He has more than 40 years of professional music experience, including 20 years as the Area Choir Director between 1976 and 1995.
Billie Joyce Bell, Director of Music at the South Congregational Church of Newport will be accompanist for the first time, and Helen Anderson will again be the organist.
