The seventh- and eighth- grade STEM specials have been exploring the University of Colorado website, PhET simulations this past week. This website allows students to engage in meaningful laboratory experiments in a safe environment.

Recent topics researched include Energy Skate Park (Kinetic/Potential/Thermal Energy); Forces in Motion (Forces and their Interactions); and Circuit Construction Kit – DC Virtual Lab (Circuits). This website emphasize the connections between real-life phenomena and the underlying science, and help make the visual and conceptual models of expert scientists accessible to students.
