To the editor,
If you live and vote in Sullivan County [floterial district] 9 (Plainfield, Cornish, Grantham, Springfield, Georges Mills, Unity, Sunapee, Croydon or Newport), I encourage you to vote on Nov. 6 for Margaret Drye, who is running to become your state representative. The mother of nine children, she has volunteered as an EMT for almost 40 years, co-founded New England’s first crisis pregnancy center, held a variety of responsible positions serving her local community (Hanover Co-op, Plainfield Town Finance Committee, 4-H Club Leader in Sullivan County, Eastern States Exposition, Meriden Bird Club) as well as being a graduate from Mount Holyoke College (cum laude) and Leadership New Hampshire. Her experience demonstrates her organizational skills and passion for service to improve the lives of those in our communities. She is one of us! And she is funding her own campaign (with donations from friends and family) — there are no outside organizations or formal “Friends” promoting her run for office. Knowing her personally, her integrity, energy and commitment to service are authentic.
Margaret’s goals if elected will be to tackle the opioid crisis, to support a wide choice of educational options to help meet the individual needs of students and to cut any over-regulation which stifles many occupations and volunteer organizations. You can contact Margaret directly or research more information about her by going to one of her sites: Facebook.com/DryeNH/, [email protected], www.DryeNH.com or 603-675-9159.
