Supporting Claudia Istel

To the editor,

I am voting for Claudia Istel on Nov. 6 for state representative. Claudia has canvassed and spoken with many people in our community over the past number of years in order to determine the issues that “the people” find most important and compelling for them to live a decent life. I have known Claudia for the past 37 years as an educator, a community involved person, and as someone who looks out for the betterment and welfare of others. I believe that she will work diligently for the rights of others, including:

A livable wage for workers, for seniors to age in place and maintain independence, and community and business development to retain youth and attract young families.

Every child, whatever their needs and ability, to receive a quality public education, pre-K through 12, with vocational or college preparation and for adults to have affordable post-secondary education.

Protecting our natural resources to have a clean environment for the health of our citizens, to promote renewable energy, and to support natural resources and agricultural businesses and tourism.

Look at the issues that she will support and decide for yourselves about supporting Claudia Istel by voting for her on Nov. 6. I am positive that she will work for us, “the people,” and that you will be proud that she represents us in the House of Representatives.
