CLAREMONT — Claremont police at collecting prescription drugs that have expired or have not been used at the CVS on Broad Street. Lt. Stan Andrews is out there in the cold — but dressed for it — with the lights on top of his cruiser flashing to attract your attention. He will be there until 2 p.m. today, Oct. 27.
Chief Mark Chase will be going around the Sugar River Mills apartments, Marion Phillips apartments, and the Earl Bourdon Centre to collect unused pharmaceuticals from those who can not get out and about to drop them off at the CVS.
This program is run by the DEA and the police are notified about a month in advance of a scheduled date.
