WESTMINSTER, Vt. — On Oct. 26, Harry Potter Night was a magical event that delighted everyone and was the perfect compliment to Kurn Hattin Homes’ Halloween Dance. The dining hall was transformed into the Great Hall at Hogwarts. Students sat by Houses and enjoyed a roast beef dinner while being entertained by stilt walkers and a magician. Adults and children made wands, tried their hand at Quidditch (sport played on broomsticks), and learned about snakes and our school’s python in the Chamber of Secrets.
On Oct. 28 The sixth grade class traveled to Vermont Academy to partner with selected members of their 10th grade class in our new 6/10 mentoring program. The Kurn Hattin sixth graders quickly bonded with their new VA buddies while carving pumpkins and enjoying some treats. Plans are also underway to have the VA 10th grade join us for our holiday concert.
Kurn Hattin marching band, dressed in costumes to please and delight, led the Westminster School Halloween Parade through town after a colorful and mysterious I Spy Adventure on campus on Halloween day. Fun time for everyone! www.kurnhattin.org
