CONCORD — The tax rates for three more communities in Sullivan and Merrimack counties have been announced by the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration
New London and Plainfield tax rates for 2018 dropped from the 2017 tax rates while Sutton experienced a higher rate in 2018.
The 2018 breakdown with the 2017 numbers in parenthesis follow:
New London
Tax rate, $15.71 ($16.01); municipal, $4.34 ($4.32); county, $2.77 ($2.96); state education, $2.25 ($2.34); local education, $6.35 ($6.29); 2018 townwide valuation, $1,137,573,800 ($1,125,769,989); valuation with utilities, $1,148,627,600 ($1,136,357,589); total commitment, $18,303,443 ($18,441,463).
Plainfield
Tax rate, $26.90 ($28.25); municipal, $5.56 ($5.74); county, $2.58 ($3.03); state education, $2.03 ($2.33); local education, $16.73 ($17.15); 2018 townwide valuation, $292,960,910 ($262,255,594); valuation with utilities, $300,586,910 ($269,238,594); total commitment, $8,011,142 ($7,531,956).
Sutton
Tax rate, $28.04 ($26.30); municipal, $7.48 ($7.48); county, $3.27 ($3.11); state education, $2.38 ($2.26); local education, $14.91 ($13.45); townwide valuation, $254,518,425 ($253,012,934); valuation with utilities, $258,340,245 ($257,810,284); total commitment, $7,164,765 ($6,702,068).
