CLAREMONT – Congresswoman Annie Kuster made a quick stop at the Democratic Party Headquarters here yesterday, meeting local volunteers and candidate Gary Merchant, who is running for District 4 Representative for Claremont in the state House of Representatives.

“Every door you knock on makes a difference,” Kuster told her fellow Democrats. She said she had just spoken with Maggie Hassan, who won in 2016 by fewer than 1,000 votes. “I think this year it’s going to be decided by several hundred.”

She announced that, according to polls, Democratic challenger Molly Kelly was tied with incumbent Republican Governor Chris Sununu. “I keep saying that, if she wins this, it’s going to be right here: Claremont – Lebanon. I was just in Lebanon and the students are excited.”

“We can start this blue wave right here,” she said. “Particularly if Molly wins.”
