Weather Watch

The sun finally came out

Cloudy and rainy weather continued to roll through the area last week although it was broken up with a frosty morning on Oct. 31st that required some windshield attention before heading out to work.

Halloween night turned out to be a pleasant fall evening with no rain or wind to put a damper on Trick-or-Treaters. And then the rain came back on Thursday Friday and Saturday.

With the changing of the clocks at 2 a.m. (officially) on Sunday, there were some changes of note in store for anyone who was fed up with the rain and cloudy weather in recent days.

Besides gaining an hour’s sleep the arrival of daylight Sunday morning also came an hour earlier with the bright sunshine tagging along. The appearance of the sun was most welcome.

With an abundance of rain Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the Sugar River wasn’t in a position to accept more runoff without overflowing.
