ROCKINGHAM, Vt. — On Nov. 7 at 9:10 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the report of a car off the road. Theresa Summerford, 33, of Saxtons River, Vermont drove a 2014 black Ford Focus down an embankment off the east side of Pleasant Valley Road in Rockingham, Vermont. Summerford was screened roadside for suspicion of driving under the influence. Summerford was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, and processed at the Westminster State Police Barracks. Golden Cross, Rockingham Volunteer Fire Department, and DMV assisted at the scene. She was cited for driving under the influence and issued two Vermont civil violation complaints.
She will face the charges in Windham County Superior Court on Dec. 18 at 8 a.m.
