Richard B. Marshall

SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. – Richard B. Marshall, 80, of Sun City Center, Florida, formerly of Framingham, Massachusetts, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 11, 2018 at South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center. He was the devoted husband of Marsha (Singer) Marshall for 59 years.

Born in Springfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of Arthur M. and Rebecca (Malkin) Marshall. He was a graduate of the University of Hartford, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electronics.

Mr. Marshall was employed as an electrical engineer for the Raytheon Corporation for 40 years. He also enjoyed his time as adjunct math faculty at MassBay Community College.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Steven and Karen Marshall of Sunapee; daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Steven Kubik of Hillsboro, Oregon; and daughter and son-in-law Debra and David Silberberg of Medway, Massachusetts. He was very proud of his seven grandchildren, Moriah Marshall, Ariel and Kendel Sayer, Daniel Marshall, Julian Kronick, Bradley Kronick, Fredric Silberberg, and Robert Silberberg. The lights of his life were his three great grandchildren, Thomas Spiker, Erica Labrecque, and Jordan Labrecque. He was also the brother of the late David M. Marshall.

The funeral service will be held at the Maple Hill Cemetery Chapel, Esquire Drive, Peabody on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 at noon. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Debra and David Silberberg and then at his home in Sun City Center, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s name may be made to Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund at Beth Israel The Jewish Congregation of Sun City Center, Hadassah, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
