sparring. Witness the bumbling Watch, mistaken identity and the war of sexes in the production
of Much to Do About Nothing adapted by Amplified Arts founder Shelly Hudson and, of
course, originally written by William Shakespeare, but be not afraid.
Will Shakespeare loved agood laugh and mischievous villains and Much Ado… has it all. Often touted as one ofShakespeare’s funniest plays, Much Ado… is the story of Hero and her Claudio, Beatrice and herBenedick and the joy, loss and joy again found in young love gone awry.
See talented early career artists (area high school students) from the Academy at Amplified Arts,
home of the 2018 New Hampshire Theater Award for Best Actor in a youth production, perform
on a stage in the round (of sorts).
This Wes Anderson inspired production was carefully curatedwith special attention given to costumes and the use of contemporary and classical music. Thesedetails enhance the audience’s total experience and allow Shakespeare to be enjoyed by all.
The Academy at Amplified Arts provides opportunities for teens 13 through 19 to explore the
arts through creation and presentation. Participants spend more than 100 hours on each production,
honing their skills covering many aspects of non-musical theater.
