SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Springfield schools were closed on Thursday, Nov. 15 because on Nov. 14 at 3;38 p.m. the Springfield Police Department received a phone call from the Springfield School District to inform the police about a student making an active threat. Springfield Police went to the high school and identified the student making the threat. Contact was made with the student and his family. The student was cooperative throughout the investigation, which is ongoing. There is no threat to other students and staff or the public.
There will be school on Friday unless the weather dictates otherwise.
