NEW LONDON — Linda Marie Limburg, 64, of Birch Acres, passed away in her home surrounded by family Nov. 18, 2018.
She was born in Somerville, Massachusetts on Dec. 1, 1953 where she went on to nursing school.
She finished her graduate work in midwifery in Edinburgh, Scotland before moving back to the United States to begin her practice. Linda was a pioneer in her profession, contributing to the legalization of midwifery in both Massachusetts and New Mexico. Throughout her career, Linda delivered 5,001 babies, many of which were born in New Hampshire.
Linda had many passions in life including her work, skiing, walking around the lake and exploring with her friends and family. She would say, “Every day is about fun, meaning, touching, and living a soulful and spiritual life.” Linda certainly touched the hearts of countless individuals. Her spirit will live on with her two daughters, Sayre and Emma, and her husband Ken Limburg DPM.
A service will be held on her birthday, Dec. 1, from 12-4 p.m. at The Draper Room at the Center of Eastman, 6 Clubhouse Lane, Grantham, NH, 03753. Linda’s loved ones ask for guests not to wear black, for this is a celebration of life. Instead, please wear your bouquets on your clothing and bring along a written memory that you have shared with Linda.
