I-91 bridge paving will not be completed in 2018

ROCKINGHAM, Vt. — The following is a more detailed update of the construction to take place for the I-91 Rockingham Bridges #24N & 24S project over the Williams River for the week beginning Monday, Nov. 26.

Due to the unfortunate timing of winter rolling in, we will not be able to complete the driving surface of the northbound bridge this 2018 construction season, as anticipated. The traffic pattern will remain as it has been during the construction of the northbound bridge until spring 2019 when the temperatures allow for paving the new bridge deck and approaches.

Construction activities will continue thru the winter and I will continue sending you notifications unless otherwise stated.

I-91 northbound and southbound is reduced to one lane with no shoulders within the construction zone.

I-91 northbound motorists should be aware of merging ramp traffic entering the roadway!

Please use caution!

I-91 northbound bridge activities:

Sunday-Thursday – 5 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monday-Friday – 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Continue placement of the concrete barriers on the bridge.

Continue maintenance of traffic control devices, due to weather
