BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. — The Friends of the Rockingham Library are hosting a community holiday party at the library on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Join the festivities. The public is invited to this free family-friendly event. The Stringfield Springers of Saxtons River will be performing live. Light refreshments will be served. Children of all ages and their families are invited to decorate a gingerbread person in the library’s Youth Department. The Friends’ holiday raffle and silent auction will conclude at the library on at 12:30 p. m.
Stop by the library anytime to see all the prizes on display, to make a bid on the silent auction items or to buy some raffle tickets $1 each, 6 for $5. Silent auction items include a Chinese quilt, lift tickets to Bromley, a Pete the Cat puppet with four Pete the Cat books, a Peruvian alpaca scarf, a bird house hand-painted by Robert McBride and a box of hand designed playing cards by Leslie Lassetter. Raffle prizes include best-selling books, handcrafted shoulder bags from Nepal, an assortment of fine stationary, an apple cutting board with potholder and a pair of goatskin gloves. All proceeds from the silent auction and raffle will benefit the Friends of the Rockingham Free Public Library.
