‘Borrowed’ car goes off the road

GRAFTON, Vt. — On Nov. 16 at 1:50 a.m., troopers responded to Hinkley Hill Road in Grafton, Vermont for a report a vehicle partially in a brook, down an embankment. Troopers were assisted by Grafton Fire with removing the individuals from vehicle. The operator, Trevor Clark, 22, of Bellows Falls, Vermont was found to have an active Vermont arrest warrant for failing to appear for a charge of petit larceny, operating without owners consent, and grand larceny. 

During the investigation, troopers determined that the vehicle Trevor was operating was stolen from a residence in Westminster several hours prior. A passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash, Trevor’s sister, Jasmin Clark, 19, of Rockingham, Vermont was found to have also operated the vehicle during the evening.

Trevor was arrested on the active warrant, driving under the influence, operating without owners consent, and petit larceny as a result of also stealing a cell phone from a residence in Westminster. He was processed and lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $200 bail.

Jasmin was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of stolen property. She was processed for the offense and released with a citation.

Trevor Clark is required to appear at Windham County Superior Court on Dec. 4.
