Community discussion on supporting resilience among children in our towns.

WINDSOR, Vt. — On Wednesday, Nov. 28, the Ascutney Mountain Promise Community and the Springfield Area Parent Child Center will hold a community meeting to follow-up on the earlier showing of the film, “Resilience: the Biology of Stress & the Science of Hope.”

Community support can be a strong factor in helping children disrupt cycles of violence, addiction, and disease that can be triggered by toxic stress caused by adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Whether you are a parent, grandparent, family member, someone who works with kids, or are just a member of the community who wants to see children succeed, you can be part of this movement and we hope you will attend.

The 1–1½ hour discussion will take place in a conference room at the Windsor Connections Resource Center, 1 Railroad Ave in Windsor, Vermont at 5 p.m., with sign-in and light snacks. If you need on-site childcare, please pre-register by calling the Resource Center at 802-674-2900 so we can make those arrangements.
