UNITY – Florence May Woodman, 97, formerly of Claremont passed away on Nov. 27, 2018 at Sullivan County Health Care in Unity.
She was born in Claremont on January 25, 1921, the daughter of George and Juliette (Leinker) Slack.
Florence worked at Tambrands for over 20 years and retired in 1983.
She enjoyed camping in her younger years and loved spending time with her family. She was member of the Grace River Church.
She is survived by her three sons, Donald Woodman of Claremont, Stanley Woodman of Unity and William Woodman of East Hartland, Connecticut; sisters, June Fleury and Marilyn Hood both of Claremont; 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald O. Woodman in 1983, seven brothers and four sisters.
Visiting hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Thursday evening, Nov. 29, 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be at Stringer Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. with Scott Kearns officiating. Burial will follow in West Claremont Burying Grounds.
