PROCTORSVILLE, Vt. — Neal’s Bar and Restaurant in Proctorsville, Vermont is hosting a steampunk night on Saturday, Dec. 8 from 5 to 9 p.m. Neal’s menu will feature specialty menu items from Bowls of Braggot, Springfield, Vermont’s only steampunk-themed food vendor. Neal’s will also offer a steampunk-themed specialty drink for the evening. The restaurant will offer specialty pricing on select menu items for those who come dressed in their finest steampunk gear.
The Steampunk Society of VT, a Springfield,Vermont-based nonprofit organization, will be attending this steampunk event. The society, whose mission is establishing Springfield, Vermont as the “Steampunk Capital of Vermont,” is glad to see local businesses embracing the steampunk theme. The Steampunk Society of VT runs the Springfield VT Steampunk Festival, a massive weekend long fundraiser used to generate funds for scholarships for Springfield students. Students planning to study the STEAM subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
