Santa and Mrs. Claus visiting 3 area craft fairs-Lempster/Unity/Alstead – Dec. 1

LEMPSTER — The fun begins with breakfast and a visit with Santa from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Lempster Community School (29 School Road, Lempster). A hot pancake breakfast will be served for $6 adults/$4 kids 12 and under. There will be over 25 craft vendors to visit from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and a table of items donated by vendors to be raffled off. The eighth grade class will be selling baked goods and all craft fair proceeds will benefit the Lempster Wildcat PTSA. “It’s been wonderful to have our three schools work together to support each other in the advertising of our events”, said Jillian Thomas, President Lempster PTSA. “We’ve even created maps for all locations and a punchcard to punch at each of the three locations. Participants that attend all three will have a chance to win a $60 Walmart Gift Card,” Jillian said. For event questions, email Jillian Thomas at [email protected].

UNITY — The Unity Elementary School will also be hosting a Christmas Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. featuring 40+ vendors, raffles, and breakfast with Santa from 9-10:30 a.m. The school is located at 864 2nd NH Turnpike, Unity. All proceeds to benefit the Unity Elementary PTA. For questions, email Jennifer Thompson at [email protected].

ALSTEAD — The Vilas PTO will be sponsoring a Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. featuring 25+ craft vendors, big raffle items, breakfast and luncheon items and “Storytime with Mrs. Claus” (from noon-2 p.m.). The craft fair will be held at the Vilas Middle School gymnasium, 82 Mechanic Street, Alstead. “We think this will be a great event to foster community spirit and showcase unique gifts for the holidays”, said Gina Vogel, event coordinator.

“We’re expecting around 25 craft vendors this year,” added Vogel, “and I’m so excited about the wide array of unique items that will be included this year.” The craft fair will feature wooden Santas and snowmen, handcrafted jewelry from Paparazzi and Posh Pearls, hand-painted ornaments, altered jewelry frames and boxes, hand soaps, DoTerra essential oils, cloth baskets, quilted items, country wooden signs, locally-made notecards and Advent calendars, hand-poured rustic candles, Lula Roe leggings, hand-sewn table runners and gift bags, knitted and crocheted items, homeopathic remedies, and local raw honey products.

There will also be a raffle that will include items such as tickets to Santa’s Land, ski passes, hockey and Keene Ice tickets, Museum of Science and Children’s Museum passes, bowling and movie tickets, Walmart, grocery store, and restaurant gift certificates, physical therapy sessions, Darien eyewear, hair salons, maple syrup, honey and Badger products and more. “There is something for everyone to get excited about winning,” said Wendy Wildes, PTO member, “and the raffle is set up so you have a chance to win just the specific prizes that you’re interested in.” Tickets for the raffle are $1 each or 6/$5 and the final drawing will be held on Dec. 12. Participants do not need to be present to win.

The event will also feature breakfast and hearty luncheon items as well as baked goods. All food sales go to fund the fifth grade trip to Nature’s Classroom. “I know the Nature’s Classroom trip will be an experience of a lifetime for my kids”, said Dori Ferreira, fifth grade teacher. All other proceeds go to the Vilas PTO to fund student fieldtrips and activities. For more information about the event, contact Gina Vogel at 603-359-2430 or email: [email protected].
