The Fall Mountain girls basketball team opened their season with an impressive home victory on Friday night over Raymond. The Wildcats held a 10-point lead after one quarter (16-6), and a 16-point lead at the half (27-11). FM then exploded for 20 points in the third frame as they shot out to 26-point lead, and ended up winning by that margin.
Leading scorers:
Raymond: – Kiana Sherman 15 points (all on 3s).
FM: Morgan Beauregard 12 points (all on 3s), Kendall McAllister 10 points, Avery Stewart 10 points.
Notes: Raymond hit 8 three-point field goals and 2 two-pointers.
McAllister had 6 steals, and Sophie Bardis had 4 points and 11 rebounds for Fall Mountain.
Fall Mountain rises to 1-0 while Raymond drops their first game of the year. Fall Mountain’s next game is Tuesday vs. Conant.
