Vt. State Police holiday food drive

COURTESY
ROYALTON, Vt. — The Vermont State Police at the Royalton Barracks invite our communities to help us with donations to area food shelfs during this holiday season. The troopers and staff at Royalton have started collecting and donating canned food goods for distribution to area food shelf programs in an effort to bring much needed food and attention to the local need for donations at this time of year. We often become busy with work and family commitments and forget to give to those who need support and assistance with simply putting a meal together at this time of year. Our goal is to collect enough canned goods to make donations to the Bethel Food Shelf, Red Door Church food shelf in Royalton and the Woodstock Food Shelf program. A collection container has been set up in the lobby area of the Royalton Barracks and donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. until Dec. 21. We are hoping to fill three boxes, one each for the named programs in our coverage area. Please help us help others who are less fortunate at this special time of year. Thank you.
