WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. — (Left to right) Sharon Miller-Dombroski and Yee-Wah Brabant of Green Mountain Children’s Center receive a donation from Nicole Dexter and Teri Minelli of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. This donation will help fund the center’s curriculum enrichment STEM Initiative (STEM: Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics) for all the children they serve. This initiative will support the children’s overall development and school success by making connections to their world with STEM investigative tools. Their learning will be enhanced by implementing this program around the child’s “Sense of Place,” focusing on outdoor environments.
Green Mountain Children’s Center (GMCC) began operations in 1989. Today, GMCC serves nearly 250 families with children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years with early learning opportunities to support their growth to reach their fullest potential. They also provide out of school time care for 100 school age children in grades K-5. Their campuses are located in White River Junction, Vermont and Claremont, New Hampshire.
