NEWPORT — Newport Police and New Hampshire State Police are investigating a shooting incident in Newport, New Hampshire on Saturday. At approximately 2:20 pm, an incident occurred on Oak Street in Newport involving two vehicles.
Shortly thereafter, an individual was shot. That individual was flown to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment, which is ongoing.

A follow-up call to Newport police on Sunday revealed no further developments in the case that were being released to the public. New Hampshire State police released the initial statement.
