Philip John Schoolcraft

CLAREMONT — Philip John Schoolcraft, 87, of Sugar River Drive in Claremont passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018.

He was born on March 22, 1931, in Alburg, Vermont, the son of John and Flora (Therrien) Schoolcraft.

His passion was his work, he enjoyed driving trucks and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Marion (Hayes) Schoolcraft; children, Louis Schoolcraft and wife Mary of Massachusetts, Sharon Raymond and husband Bob of New Hampshire, Phyllis Royce and husband Kevin of New Mexico, Patricia Moore and husband Peter of Vermont, Betty Benson and husband Shane of Vermont, Donna Aiken and husband Randy of Vermont, Paul Schoolcraft and wife Terina of New Hampshire; siblings, Doreen Sirois, Gary Schoolcraft, Diane Derek; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son, Philip Schoolcraft Jr. and a sister, Viola Aubin.

Calling hours will be held at the Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad Street in Claremont on Sunday, Dec. 16 from11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church at 2 p.m.

A reception will follow in church hall. Burial will be held privately in the spring.
