He is also actively involved in a HRSA grant-funded research fellowship evaluating methods of improving the shared decision making process for patients facing high-stakes decisions. From quality improvement work in Upstate New York intensive care and telemetry units, he has gained familiarity with tele-counseling acutely ill patients via web-conferencing and after positive multi-stakeholder feedback, has been invited to continue offering this as a consultative service. He has trained two years of internal medicine residents in shared decision making and is currently teaching a two-year “On Doctoring” course for Dartmouth Medical Students.

Diane Price, APRN

Diane Price, APRN, is a doctorate prepared nurse practitioner with over 30 years of experience working with older adults in a variety of settings. Her interest areas include nutrition and hydration in elders at end of life and prognostication of illness. Originally from central New York State, she currently resides in New Hampshire.

“Elm Wood Center is already doing so much right,” Stadler said. “Elm Wood Center utilizes Genesis HealthCare’s physician model of care, which encourages on-site collaboration between the doctors and the on-site care team, along with family physicians and surgeons. This method allows for a much more hands on approach to care that leads to better patient outcomes and satisfaction.”

“We are very excited to welcome these highly desirable medical professionals to our team,” said administrator Kelly Pelletier. “We could not think of a better group of professionals to lead our medical team here at Elm Wood Center.”
