CONCORD — As in previous years, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department stocked trout during the fall to bolster ice-fishing opportunities throughout the Granite State. “This investment of resources will create some exciting action for the state’s ice anglers,” said Jason Smith, Inland Fisheries Division Chief.

Along with catchable-sized trout, retired broodstock of both brown and brook trout – many of them in excess of 3 lbs. – were also stocked in select water bodies as product availability and timing permitted.

The following water bodies were stocked for the upcoming winter season:

• Akers Pond – Errol

• Big Diamond Pond – Stewartstown

• Cedar Pond – Milan

• Forest Lake – Winchester

• Gustin Pond – Marlow

• Highland Lake – Andover

• Horace Lake – Weare

• Laurel Lake – Fitzwilliam

• Martin Meadow Pond – Lancaster

• Mirror Lake – Thornton

• Newell Pond – Alstead

• Pearl Lake – Lisbon

• Pleasant Lake – Deerfield

• Streeter Pond – Sugar Hill

• Tewksbury Pond – Grafton
