To the editor,
Wednesday, Springfield Hospital’s CEO resigned because of financial loss. I am NOT surprised! I was a nurse, but I had a massive stroke in 2005. I used to go to Springfield Hospital Chapel for to pray for my appointment. However, I recalled when they changed the chapel to meditation room and the Bibles were gone, expected one big Bible. In fact, I wrote to Springfield Hospital CEO asked “why did you changed the chapel room to a meditation room?” No response at all, sadly!
Frustrated and disappointed with my blood work, labs, and my tests unanswered at Springfield Hospital, I went to DHMC for my primary care after April 2018 and found some excellent doctors at DHMC.
At DHMC Chapel I prayed for my appointment and got several pamphlets about illnesses, too. Plus, I always prayed with the chaplain before my surgeries at DHMC. At Springfield Hospital I did have surgeries, but one time the pastor did me visit there, too.
All I can think about with Springfield Hospital is that it has trouble with financial woes and a chapel room that changed to a mediation room without Bibles, except one big Bible. God will be the judge of this secular hospital.
