PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Gas prices are falling across norther New England as drivers head home for the holidays.
The latest GasBuddy survey shows the price of gasoline has dropped about five cents per gallon in Maine in the last week to an average of $2.33. New Hampshire saw a slightly lower drop to an average price of $2.41 per gallon. Vermont saw the biggest drop — more than five cents per gallon — but the average price remained the highest, $2.53 per gallon.
A GasBuddy analyst says 31 states have at least one station selling gas for under $2 per gallon.
